We’re joining the Oceanside Sunset Market, one of the largest and longest-running weekly events in Southern California, with over 250 vendors and up to 12,000 visitors each week during the summer.

Starting tomorrow, Boutcha will be there serving our 𝐭𝐞𝐚-𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐭 every Thursday from 5PM to 9PM.

To make this possible, we’ve scaled our production further than ever before. Every batch remains freshly handcrafted in small quantities, but preparing for the significant increase in volume has demanded every ounce of time, focus, and grit we have.

Being accepted into a market of this size and legacy this early in our journey is an honor. It’s been a challenge but a powerful validation, and we’re proud to rise to the occasion to deliver only our best.

We cannot wait to serve our tea-infused gelato and sorbet to the Oceanside coastal community and the many visitors who come from across the country and around the world.

Gelato has less fat than ice cream, which makes it more sensitive to temperature swings. Even slight fluctuations can lead to unwanted ice crystals and a loss of gelato’s signature silky, dense texture.

Without a brick-and-mortar (yet), keeping our tea-infused gelato and sorbet at peak quality has been one of our biggest challenges, especially since we use no preservatives and only fresh, premium ingredients.

Dry ice helps, but it’s costly, inconsistent, and hard to scale as we grow.

That’s why we upgraded to a large mobile freezer with precise temp control. It allows us to transport larger volumes of gelato and sorbet while maintaining different optimal temperatures for both live service and pre-packaged orders.

Quality is always Boutcha’s top priority, and we’ll continue making the right investments to raise the bar.
